Hello bike builders. Do Colnago carbon forks(or carbon forks in general) need to be faced for proper fit of the crown race? Thanks for your time.

The Star carbon fork is a precision-machined and assembled component (part of why it is so expensive). I would not recommend messing with it.

Thanks for your input. I also suspected that it shouldn't be touched, but I have the C75 fork and its crown surface doesn't appear to be very smooth.

For the money one pays for a Colnago, it should've already been ready to build out of the factory. Catch my drift?
