After two years riding this great bike I decided to have some changes done, fully integrate the Di2 and alterthe front end including another fork.
I'm very happy with the result and it rides like a dream, have now about 2000km's on it and the front end is more compliant/forgiving compared to the original version which is rather hard and (too) stiff.
Weight of the bike as on the pictures without pedals but with SRM PC6 is 7'060 grams
I will have the fork steerer cut to the right length once I got the ordered custom 1 1/8 conical spacer, also in UD matte finish and made up my mind which stem to put on there.
Anyone got an idea what stem would blend into the build nicely? It has to be 1 1/8 for OS and either black matte alloy or ud carbon matte.

A rough build list
-Canyon Ultimate CF SLX frame size 54 with custom matte lacquer
-Cervelo FK 30SL fork
-Canyon specific Acros AI 70 head set
-Canyon VCSL seat post
-3T ARX LTD 120mm
-Ritchey carbon handlebar
-SRM Dura Ace 7800 crank and 7800 bb with 7800 39/53 chainrings
-Stock Di2 Rd, FD, brakes and brifters
-Custom Di2 internal harness and in seat post battery
-Dura Ace 7900 chain
-Dura Ace 7900 cassette 11/28
-Dura Ace stock cables and cords
-Saddle fizik Aliante
-Swissstop brake pads yellow
-Custom Edge 45 (second generation actually Enve but with Edge decals)-clinchers with Alchemy front- and rear hub, spokes-sapim CX rays.

Nice bike.

Stem: Any of the 3T ones would be fine depending on budget. But take the red stripe and some of the 3T logos off if you choose a 3T team or Pro stem. Or I quite like the full carbon Bontrager stems, which are often cheap on ebay but not light. Then there's Syntace, which is quite light and already has almost no logos. For super light weight I would ask Extralite if they could do a stem with no or minimal logos as a special order.

Great looking bike.

I went with a Syntace F109. It came in at 117.5g. I took a bit of Acetone and wiped the logos off. Took about 30 seconds and goes great with the matte carbon.

It was done by a friend of mine who's a carbon specialist, it's done with cable stops so no housing inside frame, and it's even rattle free.

Nice done! Can you post some more detailled pictures about the DI2 integration please? Thanks.

Hi BORCHETTO, I will take some more pictures of the entry and exit holes of the Di2 harness, hope I manage to make clearer pictures as the ones I posted are really crappy. I'm very happy that I had the conversion done including the integration of the rear brake cable into the frame, now it looks really clean.

I am intrigued that you went with an SL fork that requires a bit of retrofit (Canyon CF tapers from 1.25" to 1.5") just due to stiffness concerns.
The original Canyon fork combined with the frame is a stellar combination and is easily tuned with wheel and tire/pressure choice.
The SL seems like a downgrade that is not well mated to the (great) frame. The original frame and fork together produce absurdly razor sharp handling.
Having said that, the SL allows you a wider choice of stems and even the option to use a combo stem/bar... Hmmm, now you have me thinking. :D

Hi Stolichnaya, well if you have a Canyon with the one one four slx fork then you have to measure the two diameters-at the crown and at the top, you will be surprised that it's not a 1.25 to 1.5, at the crown it's a weird diameter (Canyon custom)-that's why you wont be able to source a ahead set yourself unless you get it from Canyon :-).
She FK30 SL is also a tapered fork- 1.375 to 1.125, and has pretty much the same diametre at the crown-where it's more important in terms of stiffness.
I'm very happy with the ride and stiffness wise it's still the stiffest bike I've ever road but it feels more compliant. As I mentioned, I've done crits-, road and mountain races with the new set-up and wouldn't go back, and compared to the same crits with the orig. fork I can't tell a difference in handling it still cuts corners like before, maybe if I would swap forks during the same race :noidea: ?
So, my Canyon fork is for sale but be aware-it only fits Canyon bikes :-).

You can see it in the parts-describtion, I've put the battery in the seat-post.
Will take some pictures, hope they be better than the posted ones.

How did you treat the frame to get this result? Did you just sand it?

It's been done by a specialist in doing colouring and applying lacquer, I simply requested carbon matte finish. The pictures don't do the frame any justice as it looks much better in reality, I had planned to put custom made matte black stickers on, even though I got the decals I may just leave it plain-still haven't made up my mind.

So, got finally the time to add some pictures how the Di2 and rear brake cable were integrated in the frame as well as the conical UD spacer I was waiting for and the change of the stem from Ritchey to 3t, which is not matte UD, but I may leave it this way.
The spacer tower will be reduced by 10mm's.

The bike looks great! I own a Aeroad 2011 Di2 & CF Evo 2010 Di2 so I know a little about Canyon & Di2 :-)! Three questions;
- why is there a (big) hole in your downtube?
- did you drill the holes yourself and how?
- how (or where) did you make the internal battery?

Cheers, Harm
