Which one? Maby one harder than duraace rubber?

I've been using the Koolstop salmons for a few months and didn't find them any superior to stock Shimano pads. As to whether they are easier on the rims -- no idea, could well be. Anyway if you're not doing downhill in the rain for thousands of miles on end, most (alu) rims should be good for many years.

i had some trp 920s that came with a dual compound koolstop pads. those have been the best all around pad i have used.

On first wheelset there was some oil... bad breaking for all kind brakepads
Other one has Shimano (ultegra 6700) and breaking is awsome. Also wheelset - very fast,comfortable,stiff and they have "sound" (16 cxray front, 24 cx ray rear)

Will try KoolStop when we get them. Thanks for information
