Finally got my hands on a breed. I've wanted this bike for so long. I've always found it to be sold out right when it was the right time to buy. Most recently they finally built the bike with a halfway decent race ready build.
53 CM
Sram SS Brake levers
Sram BB 30 SS Crank 36t Ring
Ritchey 120 stem
Arione Saddle
AVID shorty 4's
Sits at 18.4 now. looking to get it into the 16's by race season
Just ordered Phil Kiss-off hubs for a tubi build. The stock wheels are trash. Make a decent pit wheel though. Also plan to upgrade bars and seatpost. 3T most likely
Steerer tube will be cut BTW.
Felt BREED.... Finally

Really nice, thought of one a couple of seasons ago but wasn't in stock when I had the money so got a "normal" bike instead.

What don't you like about the stock wheels? I'm curious where they've fallen short and what you would use on a single speed $1500 'cross bike if you were selecting the wheelset.

maybe it's a bit more of a hassle to find a good race ss wheelset, but normally i like the way felt puts wheels on some of their complete bikes that are not quite the level of the rest of the bike/parts. in the end everyone has different race wheels at home or wants to buy the new zipp/enve/hed/whatever wheels, so expensive wheels only make for a higher price and you end up not being 100% happy with them. kind of the same direction as not including pedals with complete bikes because everyone has another favorite pedal...
really like the breed, unfortunately it's a bit too hilly here for singlespeed.
