change that Ultegra cassette for a Omni and you will save more than 100 grams
Thanks. With the changeover to Red, new brakes, new Zipp SL handlebars (red didn't fit well on the SLC2) and a bit of clothing, I spent more on my bike than mortgage this month. I was hoping to just hit <14 and be done.
A recon cassette was in the plan, but I'm not sure whether I need an 11-29 or 11-32 for hill climbs. I have a 1050 11-32, but I don't like to use it for regular riding because of the gear spacing.
I can also save 70g with Ti Skewers. And my stem was advertised as 135g, but I bet that's for 80-90mm and my 120mm probably weighs more than 200g.
So it's very doable, just needs money. As everything does.

Your pictures are better than most!
It is a good looking bike like the white spokes, set of the frame (and trimming) nicely

I recently test rode the 2012 Lapierre Xelius 900 FDJ at my local store after a friend called me up and said they'd arrived in stock in Australia.
To be honest, it didn't jump out and scream for my attention like a Cipo, Doggie etc, as it's a fairly standard looking frame.
After riding it tho, if I didn't have a wife to convince, I probably would have put a deposit on one.
Light, stiff, and comfortable. Well priced too!

LAPIERRE is not passoni or cipo or parlee you right !
the principal advantage is the level equipement for the price and the light weight.
to be honest if i had the money i would take rather a dogma or a legend but i'm satisfied by this bike.

Yes, but the Dogma double the price of Lapierre and Cipo is tripple (here in Australia anyway).
Does that guarantee you three times the performance, I doubt it.
I would say a Doggie and a Cipo would defn get you three times the looks tho
