Lovely bike, the Archon is one of my favorite Ti frames.

Well done

Thanks for the comments  . I love riding this bike. Test rode a few other bikes on the way, the Archon is quite not as stiff as the C59 but is very similar to the Cento1 with just a bit less road buzz. The flexy EC90 forks were not a good match for the stiffer frame, so inspired by BigskyTi the ENVE forks were fitted. They are the best upgrade, strongly recommended ENVE forks for other Archon Ti owners... 8)

Hi. I've been riding the stock forks on my Archon for the last 2 season and have a ENVE 2.0 upgrade planned during the winter.

Can you elaborate on what I can expect and maybe help pick the rake that would be best? Thanks.

Looks awesome...

Black out the stem and the seat post... IMO a little too much going on there. But those are minor details... :)

Minor update and to answer weightysteve...
I used this bike in the Etape ActII 2012 in the Pyrenees and finished in 2260th place 10.5hrs 200km. The weather was wet and i had problems getting the newly fitted swissstop pads (the ones that came with the wheels) to bite on the Easton EC90SL carbon rims in the heavy rain, so the descent of Tormalet was slow and very cold. Any suggestions for better pad compound for these rims in the wet?

The ENVE 2.0 forks with a 43mm rake keep the handling the same as the original Easton EC90SL forks but are noticeably stiffer on descents eliminating the wobble sensation. The difference is similar to the improvement you would get from going from 3cm of spacers under the stem to none. They are no way near the stiffness of a 11/2" front end though. Comfort with the ENVE forks is very similar to the Easton fork.

Stem swapped for a longer 12cm Black Deda zero100SC, which also has less rise, together with slamming the stem on the headset gives a better low position for me. The seatpost has been blacked out and the forks have been polished to match the high gloss frame... Looked good and rode well in the last events of the year.

I dismantled it recently to use the groupset on another build for Crits/RoadRacing and intend to rebuild this Archon with a Record 11 groupset as a Sportif/Etape/Audax ride. Will stick with Deda Aluminium kit for the new build as the Zero100 bars -short and shallow, works for me. Also thinking about stripping the frame and getting some new decals -new look for a new build and it might save a bit of weight :D

Will update with pictures when built.

Impressive yet did a race like this on carbon wheels. Had it been dry I only find it a bit scary, but in heavy rain that must have been very scary. I would play safe and use an aluminium wheel set for those days. Ki have never heard of any carbon wheels braking goog in wet conditions.
