I'll be updating this page in the next few days will more pics/actual review.

Long-time creepy dude sitting in the corner, first time poster, just dropped my new bike off at the shop to be built. I've been biking for about three years and am upgrading from a Trek 1.1 to a Madone-copy Chinese carbon frame. I am building a blog to help others who are interested in the same thing, http://www.my-chinese-carbon.posterous.com that I'm hoping to put up lots of tips on, etc.

Anywho, here's the pretty thing before she's all done!

Thanks for the replies,

I'm putting SRAM Rival on it, I found the entire group set for $650 so I couldn't turn it down, the bike should still be around 19 pounds.

The wheelset is from Carbonzone, 60mm clinchers with Novatech hubs. I should have a YouTube review of it all once it is back from the shop, maybe today

A madone of some sort. It's really nice and the finish looks great as well.

What is your sadlle height?

I bought the frame through Carbonzone on ebay, relatively quick communication and shipping took about 3 weeks total.
The frame is a 54cm (I'm 5'9'' and could fit on a 56cm, but feel good on my current 54cm trek)
The saddle is probably too high in that photo, I just put it on so I didn't have to carry it into the shop, but BB to saddle should be around 70cm.

I believe it's a Madone copy from a few years ago. It has a threaded BB.

The finish is a matte 12k, I was really wanting a matte black but he only had matte 12k in stock and I'm glad I got it. The carbon is hard to see until you get close up and adds to the look I think.

Thanks for the comments and questions!

The frame and fork is just under 1.6 kg, here is a link to all the weights, I'll add the link to the first post, let me know if it doesn't work

Seems ironic you have a blog about building up a frame and yet get your LBS to do it for you.

Anyway, should build into a nice ride (I've got exactly the same F&F but with 105 as my training bike).
