Hi, how do you find the hypernon clinchers compared to the fulcrum zeros, as the hypernons are roughly 3 times the price.

m5 brakes are ok, powerful but with good modulation, beautifully made and light, only issue is when fitting new pads there isn't much clearance between pad and rim, so take a bit of setting up which isn't easy with the spring clamp adjuster.

I didn't pay full price for the Hyperons they were off a display bike, more like 2x price of Fulcrum Zeros. But even at that price the Hyperons are not twice as good as the Fulcrums. In fact the Fulcrums run the Hyperons close. Its 3rd set of Zeros I've had and I don't think theres a better value wheel for the money (possibly apart from Shamals but I don't like the grouped spokes).

-how is the slr teknologica compared to the "normal" slr team
-q-rings: can you notice any difference in use, compared to common chain rings?

Krull, I don't notice much difference between the teknologika and normal SLR, I think its all about the padding in the shorts suiting you. I tried the CX Zero and did notice the difference with no padding at all and a bit slippy.
Q Rings - I tried them on one bike first and noticed a significant difference in muscle ache during a long ride compared with the normal ones, I'm more of a grinder than spinner and as the pedal cadence increases I feel less benefit and notice more accelerating through the dead spot (makes it feel choppy). I'd recommend them if you grind out bigger gears like me.

I bought a Sonic of the same vintage (regular one) of German ebay a while back and am yet to build. I had heard about a recall in regards to the forks/headset arrangement. Are you running the originals or did you get something to compensate?

The recall requires fitting of a longer stem plug (expander) to improve the clamping around the top of the steerer, it should be longer than normal like this one:

I've never had any problems with mine and it will have done over 15000 miles.

never have heard of anybody having problems with isaac-forks.
sometimes, i ask myself, if this fork-recall may have been some kind of promotional thing.
