I like the one from KCNC a lot (retail about 100 euros, so that's half of the price of the extralite). It's light and bullet proof after 4 years of heavy usage (cobbles etc.).

But if you want to save 27 grams for 100 euro: go for it! :beerchug:

for an alloy post its very light and kcnc have not invested any where near as much time and effort into their post as this one...

i rode a friends bike for the last 2 weeks with a tuned version of the kcnc seat post... it was farking awful.. i felt every single bump in the road *10..

either way i'll be sticking to my Berk combo thanks :smartass:

this on the other hand....

hmmm they have done well

What is the price?
You put that much time and effort into a finished product and then ask for less..

i reckon as little as 3mm too tall saddle height or not enough setback.

In terms if comfort is was talking about road shock through the seat post saddle setup..
I adjusted the saddle hight to match my own bike and those are my wheels too..
I found the post transfered way to much of what was happing on the road to my ass..

I started using a full integrated carbon post/seat combo 1000kms ago and noticed a huge improvement in damping over the new ultimate ( alloy ) and the extralite UL2 post I have used up until I made the switch..

The kcnc post was even worse that's all...

nice, that hasnt been the case in my experience, and im not a believer in the post material having an effect provided that youre using pneumatic tires. glad you like your new post.

It's kinda the same as alloy bars vs carbon bars one is a stiffer maternal and will transfer shock more directly..

I'm been kinda picky though its a small difference

Any way

Nice to see extralite doing some new stuff.

The workmanship and effort going into their new seat post is :unbelievable:

And the 2.9g cap and bolt combo

I'm a light guy at 120lbs therefore I'm sensitive to road imperfections. However I can't tell the difference in comfort department from using different seatpost. I've tried 3 different seatposts on my bike during the last 2 years - KCNC, FSA K-Force, and now Enve. There is absolutely no difference.

The reason I switched from KCNC to FSA is because I wanted matching cockpit. Same for the move to Enve. The KCNC seatpost is very reliable and very light. The only complaint I have is its fading anodize after a year of service.

I'm not light, 85kgs and I won't use an alloy post ever again.
To me the difference is night and day

you mean u'll be only using carbon? I got this, really light for alloy , and with the option for a 27,2mm post - the extralite only come in 31mm
http://www.6kcycles.com/products/super- ... st-27-2-mm

I was going to place an order - at ebay as the seller has good deals there - and the guy talked me into gettin the alloy, as a superior product. Im very curious cause I also thought that no way an alloy post would be as confortable as a carbon one.. let´s see, my bro is bringing me the post from the States in 3 weeks still
