I'm running a XX 2x10 crank, 26/39 - so based on that, it probably is nice to keep the derailleur SRAM. But I'm wondering if there is any performance reason to go for the XTR vs. XO front derailleurs? It seems like the XX front derailleur is not made in the configuration I need it (direct high mount), so I'm stuck with XO. I think XTR is 15g lighter.

Thanks

I also used a SRAM front der for the same reasons as you did, but after two broken cages on two xx derailleurs I switched over to Shimano. Quite happy with that one so far :)

I use SRAM gear for everything but my front derailleurs are always xtr. Im using iLink cable/housing and they just feel better than the SRAM on the front.
