problem with veloflex master 22, unstuck tread
Moderator: robbosmans
Greetings fellow weenies. I recently discovered that a small part of the tread has become unstuck from the casing, about 9cm, as shown in the photo. I use it as a race only tyre, rear, with about 1500km on it. I can get another 1500km out of it for sure, so it would be a shame to throw it away without a fight!! So my question is, can i somehow glue it without any safety issues? What kind of glue would you use, if so? Or maybe some other idea that could help. Thank you all!

A terrible idea. Burn the damn thing ASAP.
Nursing damaged tires is the worst place to try and save a few dollars.

Email veloflex they would most Likley replace the thing
Hi,
Clean the entire area with some alcohol, let evaporate then use the same glue you'd repair a flat inner tube with. Put some on both the tread and the tyre proper and let it cure for a few minutes.
Put the tread back where it ought to be and apply some pressure untill both parts stick firmly together. Let it sit for a few hours and that's the end of that.
Ciao,
