Just looking for some ideas and maybe a different approach to this years training. I almost at the end of a two week peak period, which looks like this (below), approx 10-13hrs per wk. During Base I concentrated mainly on SST & Tempo/LSD around 15hrs per wk for 12-16 wks, then 8 weeks of build, mostly Threshold, SST & one break through & LSD per week.

Mon Day off
Tue 2min >Z5 x 3 (x 3), 2min RBI 6min RBS
Wed Endurance+Tempo Z3
Thu 20min 93-100% LTHR x 2, 5min RBI
Fri Day off
Sat 12min OU x 3 (2U@Z4,2O@Z5) 8mins RBI
Sun Endurance

Mon Day off
Tue 2min>Z5 x 4 , 1min RBI, 8min rest, 4min OU x 3 (2U@Z4,2O@Z5) 3min RBI
Wed Endurance+Tempo Z3
Thu 20min 93-100% LTHR x 2, 5min RBI
Fri Day off
Sat 3mins >Z5 x 6, 3mins RBI
Sun Endurance

I race mtb xcm, I have two weekend races coming up over the next three weeks that I would like to do well in, what would be the best approach to training over the next three weeks to hold onto my fitness? This will be my third year of structured training and I am always looking for new ideas and opinions.
