After weeks of waiting for the delivery date which kept being put back again and again, fianlly my new Planet X N2A Carbon Road frame and fork arrived. After riding there very poplular Nanolight Highmodulud for the past year, I have been looking for to trying what is deemed there new aero frame.

First impressions of the frame are, wow that pretty light considering the frame, fork, headset and aero seat post cost a grand total of £799.99. Its comes it at just under 1kg, 987g to be precise. The bottom barcket junction and head tube junction are super beefy and with the BB being BB30 i should expect it to be pretty stiff. I really like the little extenstion behind the botton headset bearing to aid the air flow from the fork in to the frame. The brake cables are internal and the decals look vey swish.

My only concern at this point is that the smart matt black finish looks extremely easy to scratch so will have to be careful during the build. Keep posted for build upates once i have finished racing tis weekend.

Dan

Nice! I'm also very interested in this frame.

could you take some head on shots of the head tube and down tube? haven't seen any detailed shots of the frame so its hard to see what shapes the tubes are

Here are some more shots which show the tube profiles. I will get the weight of the fork and seat post at some point and post these up as well.

Thanks for all the comments. Im also looking forward to what it looks like when its all done!

For an aero road bike they fail on cable entry points.

Yeah, dont bet me wrong it dosent have anywhere near the sort of aero features you would find on the likes of the Scott or Specialised, just look at the width of the down tube!!! But, this is only £799 so its a 3rd of the price of these top line aero frames. Will be interesting to see how it rides when its all done.

I wonder how it would fair in a wind tunnel comparison test :D

Sharp looking and a great price to weight ratio. Looking forward to this build and seeing the final weight...

very nice... i would love to see how the this build turns out. the large fits me perfect - i am now considering this bike. price and weight look very good, plus the bike looks good. i wonder how the white and silver look and how much weight does the paint add.

Lovely. Looking forward to seeing this built up.
I'm the proud owner of a Nanolight HiMod, but it's XL and does rather flex at full bore.
