2012 Red FD and C2 chainrings
Moderator: robbosmans
Anybody have feedback or see any pitfalls on using 110BDC stronglight C2 rings on a previous generation red crankset in combination with the new 2012 red FD?

2013 SRAM Red has not come out yet.

Hey, it helps everyone when there is less misinformation out there. That includes mis-labeling things. Some people like to search and read, you know.

Speaking to the SRAM rep at the Multisport Expo in NYC earlier this year, the spacing on the new cranks is different (slightly bigger between the rings). He said that you can ride the new FD on standard ring formats, both 110 and 130, without incident but that you wouldn't get the full benefit of no chain rub if you were not using the new Red cranks.
