I have the same opinion of the Bar Fly. Looks and works great, just wish the actual computer sat lower!

The Controltech Taxxi computer mount arrived. It's 9g w/gasket, and Garmin bracket is <15g total.
It mounts to bottom faceplate bolts, which are accessable for wrench and TorqueKey.
It's simple enough, and would be better with a lower profile so the computer sits lower and equal to bartops.

Quite nice and sleek looking!
The Issimo 'The Nob' mount bracket arrived. It's advertised at 10g but is 15g. With the Garmin quarter-turn bracket the total is 20g.
This is a clean, as simple as it gets, no-hassle solution for mounting your Edge out in front of the bars a bit. The Nob is usually used for aerobars, but is workable for 31.8 and a bit larger bar sections. Available on ebay. The nob diameter is 26mm, and is 3cm long.
Note in the photo, the little screw sticking out in the front is to be broken off and used to lock in the mount ... a good design feature. You can also see the excess un-cut strap that could be used for mounting on a larger diameter bar section; the photo shows 31.8 diameter mount on 3T bars.

That one (road) looks good Lars!!! I like how it sits lower than the Bar Fly. Not sure if I like how far it sits away from the stem though...
What is the weight? Is it stable?
Any info on this company, Racewaredirect?

Got a chance to test both mounts today.
The TT mount is REALLY great, and works well
HUGE improvement from my former stem mount: I can now stay in full aero-position with my helmet-"tail" along the back and just glance down on the Garmin for pacing
The Road mount is unfortunately unstable. The great news is, that Racewaredirect already have promised to sent me their new and improved model instead. It should be more stable and shorter. I will get back here as soon as I get to try this one out. Sounds really promising

Very slick!
I wonder if the vibrations would be more pronounced on a rigid mounted, cnc alum part vs the plastic Bar Fly...not that it matters that much in the grand scheme of things.
Whats the weight Tillquist?
Awesome piece! Look like the Enterprise!!

I use my garmin 800 with the bar fly and the height works for me, easier to touch the screen.

Does anyone know of a shop that has the Bar Fly in stock plesse? The Australian distributor hasn't got any. Ta.
If they don't get their act together soon, the competition will have made theirs and the barfly will be sale-bin fodder

Hi Chaps,
Lovely to see so much enthusiasm on the site for new products. I thought as my Garmin mounts were on hear i should at least introduce myself and my company. I set up raceware direct earlier this year with the intent to provide customised and small batch run items to cycling enthusiasts like myself. I am in a unique position as my day job for the past 12 years has been for one of the leading prototype firms in the uk. As such I have good knowledge of what can be done using our machines in both plastics (like the mounts) as well as metals such as Titanium. All my items are fully customisable as mentioned so if the bracket is too long, too short, too high, too low, etc then tell me, i can change it for you. I cant always do these changes for free and there are some limits but my main aim is customer satisfaction and i am not driven by money making. Feel free to check out my website, just google racewaredirect and my day job is at 3trpd.co.uk you can see there the technology behind my products.
Happy cycling.
