The K-edge one is very good quality, comes with a braze on shim to match both are lazer etched to grip one another so no slippage! :) can't actually remember mine being in use, but its nice to know its there!

The Canyon is the only one I know of that attaches to the water bottle cage boss. It's a much better design, since it's sturdier and doesn't have the potential to strain the FD mount.

I'd also be interested to know where to purchase the Canyon type.

I just got my Ultimate CF frame and saw to late that Canyon offered one and bought another K-edge which I like a lot. You can buy the Canyon one from their website, but I'm not sure if they will mail it to the US.

Whenever the subject of chain catchers comes up, I have to remind people of the N-Gear Jump Stop.
Sturdy, simple, cheap, and doesn't attach to front derrailer.

I have two, and have been using them on two bikes for about 3 years now, with not a single chain-off-the-inside incident.

Do people then remind you, after you always make this post, that not everybody has a round seat tube on their bike?

I think the problem with the N gear is that in my opinion he doesn't have the guide function as the other style chain catchers and the chain can jump behind the fang, resting on the clamp and still causing damage to the frame.

I got the Canyon one when I ordered my aeroad. Great product which fits nicely under the bottle cage. If you are in the States or else where you can get it sent to my address ( The Netherlands) and I can send it anywhere, I am sure it would only be a few euros to forward it on
