Which gruppo should I put on the Venge? I think Di2 or SRAM Red 2012 is the more obvious choice, but looking for pros/cons or suggestions

Since its not a light bike, I would go with function: DI2 and SRAM on Sworks SL4

I am also building a Venge, and ended up with a full Red 2012 build. Although most people that try the new electronic gears really like them, the DA-DI2 is getting replaced soon with an updated version, so i would have buyer's remorse or upgradatis soon after. The weight is also much better (since we are on the WW forum).

If you are smaller than a 56 I'd say the di2 will not fit with 2 bottle cages I know it won't fit on the 54 but will on the 58.

I saw the bike 2 months ago and it now has the internal battery

Well, except as a 'bike of the bunch', the 54 Venge McLaren would have 'braze-on' mount for the Di2 battery on the underside of the downtube and get the 2 cages on that way...

It is a normal Venge, not a McLaren, it was also pretty early in production, but I am not sure if that makes a difference
