Hello,

After I finished my weekend and nice weather ride in January, I decided to build me another training and rain bike and it got delivered today by USPS.
I did have the same frame in the white Team color before when Canyon still was shipping to the US, but I sold it in 2010 (didn’t know what I was thinking) and did regret my move ever since and just had to get another one, and this time the Carbon/white one.
It came without any damage since it was perfectly packed in my Scicon Bike hard case and will be built up as following build list:

Frame: Ultimate CF (54cm) Carbon/White
Crank: Campagnolo 11s (53-39) Super Record or Chorus, haven’t decided yet.
Front derailleur: Record
Rear derailleur: Chorus
Shifter/Brake levers: Chorus
Chain: Chorus
Cassette: Chorus 12-27
Cables: Campagnolo, black
Chaincatcher: K-edge, black
Stem: Ritchey 4axis WCS 110mm came with frame
Handlebar: Deda RHM, black 42mm
Seat post: Canyon came with frame
Brakes: TRP 979SL, black
Brake pads: Reynolds or I will see what comes with the brakes
Saddle: Specialized Romin Evo Pro, white 143mm
Paddles: Look Keo Blades
Wheels: Hed Stinger 4/6 or 6/6 tubular with Power tap SL+ or G3 I ride currently the 4/6 with the PT SL+ but I’m thinking to get the 6/6 with PT G3.
Campagnolo Bora Ultra two
Tires: Continental Competition 25mm
Bar Tape: Deda, white
Bottle cadges: Haven’t decided yet
It’s going to be another fun project, and I wanted to provide pics with the parts on a scale but it seems that my scale is mest up, Sorry about that!

Hello,

I finally finished my Canyon this morning and took her out for a 30mile test ride. I’m very happy how the bike turned out and she rides exactly what I can remember from my first Ultimate CF I sold 1.5 years ago.
Here are some changes I made to my previous posted build list. I went with a Chorus 11s Compact crank 34/50, the first time I will try a compact. I also did buy Blackburn Camber CF matte black bottle cages who match the frame perfectly.
I’m also very happy with the TRP R970SL Brakes who look great mounted to the bike and perform very nice. Set up was very easy. The brakes stopping power with the red Swiss Stop pads that come with the brakes is a little more aggressive then my super record brakes with Reynolds carbon pads, but I do like the extra bite.
Another build without any problems and this bike is going to be my trainings and rain bike.
I hope you guys like it.
I don’t have the final weight yet, but will post it as soon as possible.

If they were Zipps, the 'Beyond Black' version does have black spokes... but we've just established their not so this is now a throw-away comment...!

They use a BB86 press fit design, 68mm width. I used the the Shimano SM-BB91-41B bb bearings on mine. Very easy to fit using the bb bearing press tool from Shimano, TL-BB12.

No, the Ultimate CF uses a standard BSA NOT a BB86 press-fit. The Aeroad uses the pressfit design.

My 2012 Ultimate CF is sitting in front of me, building it up next week once the cables arrive.

I used English threats Campagnolo BB cups for the crank.
No press fit here on the Ultimate CF.
