Or ride it after about 3pm as most of the trips are gone by then.
I dd it last week at about 3pm ish on a tuesday afternoon and encountered a couple of coaches whilst doing the little climb over from lluc and about 2 coaches on my decent to the beach but the rest of the ride was very quiet.
Maybe in higher season they run coach trips later in the day but at this time of year it was fine.
Anybody in Mallorca in April?

Not there in April, wish I was! We were out there after christmas for new year. Loved the roads, and we were lucky enough to have nice weather 17c pretty much everyday
Sa calobra descent was incredible. When we were climbing Col Del Reis four guys came flying down on skateboards. Two of them understeered massively in front of us and almost went off the edge... was quite an experience.

Saw YOU guys just coming out of Selva yesterday. Nice ride?
For future reference, always a good idea to do Sa Calobra Sunday or Public Holiday as the bus trips arent running then.
Nice ride indeed. Didn't recognize you, though. Only saw two buses on Sa Calobra, but panic braking rental cars were present in abundance. The descent was very difficult for a first timer. Impossible to judge most of the turns. The descent to Selva was magnificent until we were blocked by a long line of cars. Trying to pass with 25 riders would have been messy. Of the climbs I liked Soller (from Bunyola) the best. I like to spin. And the descent to Soller was a blast.
Anyway: tomorrow home to Norway for sleet, rain and mounting the Crud Roadracers.

No summer Mallorca for me this year. Spring is all I'm getting in afraid.
As for what it's like in July. Far fewer bikes, more busses and hikers. Climbing the Coll de Femenia from the north I got a max reading of 39 degrees C last year at the very beginning of August. Enjoy
