Except the colour (and the associated weight penalty for white) - none.
Get a bicycle. You will certainly not regret it, if you live.

Fork and paint are only differences between the base model and Team model. Team has FK30SL fork which is lighter and black paintwork is lighter than white.

Fork uncut 315g, frame without headset but with hanger, cages bolts and seatpost collar 996g. 2012 R3 team 56 size. Weighted with 2 different scales, the difference was +- 5g (one was kitchen scale and one "fish" scale). I thought it'll be much lighter honestly.

Thanks for the info apLe, weight is what I expected it to be.
Did you weigh fork with the insert? My regular R3 FK30 fork is 364g cut to length + glued insert, so there's about 60-70g weight difference when cut to length.

thats 100g heavier than my 2006 frame in a 56 is there a reason why the weight has gone up? i was hoping for a lighter upgrade to the team frame.

No, it's a weight of bare fork because I don't use Cervelo's insert. Of course fork is SL version. I'll weight cut fork when I visit my LBS again as I'm waiting for the proper bottom bracket (guys from Cervelo had sent me wrong one:/).

I would say the taller headtube and asymmetric beefed up BBright area is why the weight has gone up vs the pre 2011 models. Also the newer models don't seem crack around the BB area any more.

you want the new model and a weight loss, then you need to get the r5vwd.

Imho, the 2006-2007 models were awesome. The 2008 models gained weight (white paint) and apparently had some cracking issues. Haven't ridden the new generation of R3s, but I'm perfectly happy with my 2007 R3 (870g). Rides awesome and is more than enough bike for me.
