If you're just fixated on making a light bike... it does not matter, but that extra cleat weight, when riding, you're still having to pull around. That's why shoe companies keep trying to make lighter weight shoes.

Which aftermarket spindles suit the Blade? (& who sells them) I couldn't see any on Wards website?

They won't come out and tell you which ones work with the blades. When I asked, they emailed me a comment from a user saying they worked, but they wouldn't confirm it.

Do you guys know if there is a version for the Keo 2 Max pedals. Wonder if it would be worth the swap.

They all share the same spindle. I am using Ward Ti spindles on Keo2Max, Keo2Max carbon and blade.
They also make a loger version for those who prefer a wider stance. They are 6.5mm wider.

Awesome! Their description seems to be outdated as it says they don't work on the Keo 2 max pedals. Thanks!
