but how much do their multiple layer-brass cleat weigh? Does weight bolted to your shoes not weigh as much as weight bolted to your bike?
If you're just fixated on making a light bike... it does not matter, but that extra cleat weight, when riding, you're still having to pull around. That's why shoe companies keep trying to make lighter weight shoes.

Easy to pick up Keo Blade Cromos for $150 brand new on eBay. Get a pair of Ti spindles for $60 and you're just at about $200.

Which aftermarket spindles suit the Blade? (& who sells them) I couldn't see any on Wards website?

They won't come out and tell you which ones work with the blades. When I asked, they emailed me a comment from a user saying they worked, but they wouldn't confirm it.

They all share the same spindle. I am using Ward Ti spindles on Keo2Max, Keo2Max carbon and blade.
They also make a loger version for those who prefer a wider stance. They are 6.5mm wider.
