My original plan was a black seat post with white saddle but I am very pleased with the result. The seat post looks a bit like an ISP.
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.

Timo,
this is exactly what it looks like.

Usually white components look cheap but this is really well done.

And as a bonus I have a tuned Record 10sp gruppo with ZG's and Powerarms that came off this frameset and is now whispering in my ear at night: start a new project, all you need is another nice frameset

I was going to say the same thing, it's growing on me. If you had a polished seat post lying around it would be interesting to see how it looks?

"Wingnut", I gave that a try after I tried the black seat post and before I decided to send the seat post to the painter too.

Stunning; well done

Any side shots, by the way? This bike needs to go on my blog (with your permission, of course) and side shots work the best

Timo that is superbly executed. The transition between the seat tube and seatpost looks great. The choice of colour looks superb. The vittoria sc's are a great choice.

38mm carbon hoops don't look shabby either...

Looks great! I wonder how some black sidewall tyres would look? Might go well with the wheels, tape & saddle?

very nice

looks much better with the black spokes and hubs, the old wheels made it a bit of a classic bike
never the less the old wheels are very good quality
the crank matching the groupset makes it more classy compared to a mixed groupset bike
