Fitted a few more parts yesterday evening.

I want to fit the grips before posting more pictures, any idea how to easily fit the ESI end cap on the handlebars? The ENVE inner diameter is way too small to fit the end caps...

EDIT: got it, had to trim off some of the plastic on the end caps

The bike looks....amazing IMO

The frame looks great. I thought you'll make it look like any cheap carbon frame, but it actually looks awsome with new paint and Enve parts!

Silver spokes?

Thanks!

Yeah silver spokes, as I already have a set of all black wheels.

had a small ride today on the bike. The ENVE bars are sooooo wide, I cut them to 680mm.

I had a short stop at the LBS and hung the bike on the scale: 9,6kg with heavy wheels.

Cant wait to weight it with the handbuilt set up tubeless with XX cassette and KCNC rotors.

here are some pictures of the final bike. Bars have been cut since, and I need to change the front derailleur to a double one, X.0

The saddle is......surprisingly comfortable. Honnestly I havent had any pain or anything bad with the saddle yet. A few mods are coming to save weight: lighter front 15mm skewer, lighter rear skewer, carbon saddle.

As I said, 9,6kg as it is.

How stiff do you find the KCNC stem? Looking to upgrade my scale a bit and have been looking at their stem/bar combo as a fairly cheap/light upgrade! Also a little paranoid of carbon bars/stems as I tend to try a little too hard and crash a fair bit...

Im honnestly very pleased with the quality, weight, finish and stiffness of the stem. I have no complain whatsover about it. I dont see any difference with other stems I have ridden.

Fwiw, my ENVE bars have a very sturdy construction. I doubt they would do worst then alu bars in a crash.

Postman just left my door, with a nice present :D

Finish is nice, weight is OK for the price I paid. Now I need to figure out if it will fit my ENVE seatpost correctly, and if it will be comfortable/reliable

The Edge/Enve bars are very durable. Mine have been involved in a few minor crashes with no problems 8)
Have you ridden the Ikons yet? If so, how do you like them?

@tonytourist

I have ridden the Ikons but not extensively and not on technical trails with roots etc. Here is what I can say so far (keep in mind im not an experienced MTB rider and have only ridden 2.1 tires before).

First time on 2.2, they absorb the small bumps better then my racing ralph 2.1
the rolling resistance seams high, harder to go fast on the flat VS my racing ralph
good grip so far, they inspire confidence.
Good grip in corners too.
Grip on steep frozen soil hills was absolutely flawless (also a matter of technical skills I guess)

I will post more comments when I have the chance to ride them in my single tracks with roots, rocks and loose ground.

Hope it helps
