Well, it may not be a full weenie build, but any mtb with a clavicula crank qualifies for me!

Very nice build! Not so WW as your scalpel, but seems like it would be more durable for you.

I hope you didn`t hurt your self. It is never fun when a drivetrain component
breaks. I believe that the use of single front ring is the cause of failure since
the spider is designed so that one should use two chainrings and not just one.

Well that makes sense slow uphill -> short gear= maximum torque
add small deflection to the chainring and when there isn`t a big ring
to support the system we can see what happens.
I hope they give you a new crankset or something...

this i get from them

Quote:
Hello Robin,

I think it is your fault again. It is absolutly forbidden to drive this crank with only one chainring! If you want to use only 1 chainring then is a bashguard necessary, otherwise the chainring mounts will broken. And that is what happens.

Please send the crank over your dealer (not directly to us!!!) back to us.

Regards,
Marco Weger

i ask them where in manual of crank i can find that you cant us singel ring with out bashguard if it not in there how can i know this that i cant run crank like this
