best grips for grip shift: ESIgrips Chunky or Ritchey WCS?
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hello,
I´ve been using Ritchey WCS foam grips with grips shifts for a few years now and i love them. price is only 7€. I prefer them over bontrager xxx foam grips. Everyone is talking about the ESIgrips chunky now, and the diameter seems good for gripshift, although the ritchey wcs diameter is a little bit wider and a little bit better for grip shifts. now my question is, which one do you prefer and why. esigrips are also dificult to find online in europe and price is nearly 3 times the ritchey wcs grips. thanks in advance.

I'm using Avenir AGG407, same as KCNC and pork rinds but cheaper to buy, then cut down to match the grip shift, a complete grip is 7g, cutdown 4g, supplied end caps are 2g each.
Impoverished weight weenie wanna-be!

Those are way too thin for my taste. Also chunkys are a bit too thin... ritchey wcs are winning at the moment.

I have chunkies with grip-shift and love them. Have not tried the others mentioned though.
The Avenir etc suite me (I actually have large hands) but it is of course a very personal preferance kind of thing!

more like over 17€ now, but anyways, i ordered them... let's see how they perform. I really think I will like the ritchey wcs foam grips much more, but i can't not try these new esigrips that everyone is talking about. esi grips are heavier and the diameter for grip shifts is not good enough, kulhavy would love to have them with 1 or 2 mm bigger in diameter.
