Patrick's bikes are made by neither and are made in Taiwan not China.

I think they go together well. 3T fork looks nice too, matches perfectly.

If they were Bora Ultra 2 + Chorus then maybe you'd have a point.

If you are on a budget I would say that it is a good choice to spend less on groupset and more on wheels. Better wheels gives you a lot more performance than a more expensive groupset.

Maybe I am biased. Using Chorus 10 speed with nice wheels...
