Has anyone any info on the 3.4's being made as clinchers? That would be my mind made up!

Has any of you seen any data comparing the 3.4s to the 45s?

I thought I heard that they were going to start releasing them as early as next week to dealers....I just can't remember where I read that to verify right now.

Will they be releasing 3.4 & 6.7 clinchers?

(or just 3.4 first)?

Rim weights are projected to be 435g front and 450g rear which is a 165g increase. My last set of 3.4s laced to Alchemy hubs were 1254g so a set they way I built them (CX-Rays with Wheelsmith DB14s for the right, rear) should weigh 1420g or so. Spoke count is limited to 20/24 like the other SES 3.4 and 6.7s. The 8.9 spoke count is 16/20.

Check your favorite builder for pricing. The price should actually be the same as the tubular wheels were and the tubular wheels went down in price about $150.

Nice. So when do we see one of your builds with these? The weight is good, 50g less than the Zipp 303 for the same height.

You are my favorite builder, so expect a call from me as soon as I finish my CCNP.

Expensive wheels, but I'm nonetheless impressed that they've kept the carbon clincher price the same as the tubular one. Competitive marketplace?

Not exactly correct, the clinchers are the price that the tubulars were previously. I don't know when it will be official but the SES tubulars are all going down in price from $975 per rim to $875 per rim. We've already lowered our pricing on them and I'd expect others will do the same shortly.

The 6.7s are planned for this season. There will be an 8.9 clincher as well, but that timeframe isn't solid yet.
