2011 Sram Red Steel Front Derailleur vs. Dura Ace 7900 Front
Moderator: robbosmans
Has anyone compared both on their Sram Red equipped bike? And if you have, which provided better shifting performance. I know the DA7900 is lighter, but am wondering if it will actually work better. Thanks.

You want 7800 to go with red as the pull ratio is compatible with SRAM
The lever throw will be further on shimano a bit

Sram with steel cage over Shimano Dura-Ace 7800, that's just weak. If the 7900 is working it's great, stiff and perfect cage. Used one on my mtb with Sram triggers/twisters.
