So I dunno if 15lbs counts a lightweight, but this Ellis I have sits at around there with a complete Dura-Ace Di2 group and EDGE/ENVE carbon tubular wheelset.

Anyways, I'm a little new to these forums, but I'm a fan of steel. And it seems the Ellis pulls off lightness pretty well! But I'm a naive newbie and anything 5lbs or more lighter than my everyday bike, a 1975 63cm Eisentraut limited, is light to me (the Eisentraut comes in at around 27lbs, and in case you are wondering why I have a 56cm Ellis and a 63cm Eisentraut, it's because the Ellis I bought from a friend to sell).

Anyways, I hope this is not a cliche topic, but anyone else got lightweight steel rigs?

Just moved the thread and altered the title a bit, as there's already a thread for steel bikes. Which, as this is Weight Weenies, the aim is (ideally) as light as is possible.

Great looking steed. And excellent weight! I love my steel bike (and steel in general)

Very nice! Is that a custom painted Pro Stealth stem/bar combi?
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.

Like it a lot! I prefer the front wheel's profile.

Nothing finer than top-end steel with gorgeous lug work, etc: timeless beauty and flawless function. And 15lbs w/Di and mid-profile wheels meets my criteria for a WW steel steed! Makes me want to get my '91 Reynolds 753 Merckx spruced-up and back on the road...
