Just pulled the trigger on the above frameset, got a cracking deal and will be shifting over full centaur carbon group from my Carbon Ribble. Anyone 'weenied' one up?! Thoughts and advice welcomed. Seat post is alu I think...any other options out there?

The original seatpost of Cervelo S1 is carbon and weighs 168g in 51-sized frame.

Not really in WW mode, but here is my S1! Couldnt think of anything else to upgrade other than the drivetrain.
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=89969" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rig:
3T Arx Team stem
Ultegra 6700 Shifters, FD, RD
KCNC C7 brakes
Look Keo Max Carbon
Carbon 5mm Spacer
Carbon Pro Top Cap
Zipp SC SL "Traditional" Bars
HED Belgium C2 20/24, Aerolites, 7900 hubs.
Fizik Arione CX with Carbon Braided Rails
P2M Rotor 3D+ Cranks (Cheap ad good FSA rings, may upgrade if there is budget in future)
Lizardskin DSP Handlebar Tape
Yokozuna Cables
Arundel Mandible Carbon Cages

Didnt photographed its most recent look with the arundel cages.
Its a fast bike, infact i always seem to overtake people effortlessly at negative gradient.
But the paintwork is not really impressive.

Thanks for the feedback on the post Vilier. I know its going to be a bit of a bone shaker but used to it coming from an Alu Bianchi.
Yongkun, yours is looking sweet, how do you find the ride comfort? I am going to be using it for fast social rides and will probably go for a carbon bar to take out a little of the buzz. But I can cope with it for the 50-60 mile runs I will be doing on it.

I found a NOS Cervelo S1 frameset in my size and at a great discount last Fall. I could not resist its charms and built it up pretty light. Here is the original build:
Size 56
Brakes: SRAM Red "black"
Brake/shift levers: SRAM Red "black"
FD: SRAM Red "black"
RD: SRAM Red "black"
Cassette: SRAM Red "black"
Crankset: SRAM Red "black"
BB: SRAM Red GXP (ceramic bearings)
Chain: SRAM 1091R
Pedals: Speedplay X-2 w/ Ward Ti Spindles, Al bowties and Ti bolts
Housing: SRAM (Gore Ride-On shift)
Bar Tape: Lizard Skins DSP 1.8
Bars: Ritchey WCS Logic II 42cm
Stem: Ritchey WCS 4-Axis 120mm
Seatpost: Cervelo Carbon Aero
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Ti rails
Wheels: Reynolds DV46 T UL (removed stickers)
Tires: Vittoria Corsa EVO CX (tubular)
Skewers: Tune
Bottle Cages: Arundel Mandible Oil Slick
Headset: FSA IS-2
Top Cap: Soul Kozak
Spacers: Ritchey branded Carbon
Expander: Extralite Ultrastar 2
Image

And here it is a few months later with a Ritchey WCS C-260 stem, Alligator i-links and a wheel set better suited for bad weather (Chris King R45 hubs, dt spokes and rims and Conti 25mm Grand Prix 4 Season tires).

It's not as light as my Cervelo R5 but it's by no means a boat anchor either.

Picked up the frame today, it's going to be fun building this one up. Got it for a steal so money saved on the frame will go to start the build.

You're going to love it! If you're used to alu frames then you shouldn't find the ride too harsh, I find that mine has enough give in it to take out the worst of any road buzz and it's perfectly comfortable.

Good luck with feeding the cables through the downtube

Does anyone know the Paris-Nice or Liege-Bastogne-Liege winning setups on the Cervelo S1, thought it might be cool to be build one up in the same way, probably won't be very weenie....
