I think we have an improvement on that... ;)

You can save weight on a crankset by incorporating the fifth chainring bolt into the crank arm as opposed to using a five arm spider set up.

I don't see these on the Praxis website. What's the story? How do they shift compared to stock 7900 rings?

Hey guys...
Yep... Glad you found this as we just pulled the curtain back on it here at the Taipei show this week.

Hoping to have these Ring/Bolt kits avail soon... finalizing some things on it.
It's for the DA 7950 crank for now. That way we'll be able to do Praxis 'DuraAce 7950' ring kits for about 5 combos. We're planning on having kits for Cyclocross 46/36, 48/36 and then in road we'll have 50/34, 50/36, and 52/36 also.

Hope you dig 'em!

think this is more possible

I'm fairly certain that Factor001 developed those levers themselves, not with Shimano. They took the lever and the electronics from the DA lever and grafted them into a body that they developed on their own to work with hydraulic levers. I talked to them a while ago about doing hoods for the levers, but they seem never to have gone into production with the bikes; at least not that I know of...

At least they can move some NOS Biopace Exage 400ex cranks from 22 years ago. :D

Look pretty cool, but over a quarter of the chainring is unsupported. Sure they have done their homework.

Seeing how the crank's spokes are placed in very specific areas,
I'd bet it has something to do with torque forces on a pedal stroke
like oval rings.

Wow, that is butt ugly. Especially the cranks. I'd be very surprised if the end product looked like that (shape-wise, that is).
