lightes MTB stem 130mm

What is the lightest stem for a mtb in 130mm you can advise me on a 29 xc bike ?
I'm 72 a 73 kg

You'll only find light 120mm 31.8 stems, 130mm will be extremely hard to get light in that length.
Extralite makes them in 120mm, nice and light.
I'm running the UL3 for a few years now.

at 130mm on a 29er, keep an eye on STIFF too.
i'd go syntace, the new zipp ones seem pretty good. thomson is beefy but beefy, if you know what i mean.

Extralite-stems are strong, I've never heard of one breaking during use. They might not be stiff enough for everybody, but definitely strong enough for XC.

i would question the use of a road stem for xc, especially when extralite makes a separate xc stem. they make light stuff, and if it were xc worthy, i'd think extralite would state it as so.

I agree with thisisatest.
At extralite they really know what they are doing and their products are very good.
But using a Road stem for XC is not what it is intended for.
Especially when you use a wide bar it's under a lot more stress than with an 42cm road bar.
I'd really advise you to look for another brand that makes 130mm stems for MTB or go with an 120mm UL3.
I used the 120mm UL3 for 2 years on my MTB and had no problems with flex (i'm just under 70kg).

I do have a 130mm mtb KCNC at this moment, but would like to have a lighter one.
Weeks ago I did sent a mail to extralite, and they where not that negative regardingg using a road stem on an MTB.
Of course, legally wise, they would not be responsible if anything would happen.

On the other hand, as you wrote above, I will swap the KCNC 600mm bar for a Schmolke 680mm bar, so that will give a lot more force on the stem.........

The new Ritchey WCS C260 is superlight. Alloy & Carbon versions. Very clever - not sure about whether there's a 130mm, but defo 120mm. Ritchey stuff is great, been using his stem & carbon 'bars for years. Each model gets better and lighter.
