I am currenly in the youth catergory of racing which means i need a 52 chainring and 16 up cassette, as my maximum gear ratio. At the moment i'm using a miche 16-26 cassete which weighs 450g. this is wat to heavy does anyone have any lighter suggestions? maybe doing some custom cassettes or combining cassettes?
i run campag 10 speed

I would recommend going the smaller chainring route. That's what I did in my junior racing days, and it really simplifies everything. Calculate your gear inches and have a shop order you an appropriate ring setup.
This board and the world in general would be a much nicer place if everyone could just take themselves a little less seriously.

but i forgot to add that i have already used the small chainring system. i need the large cassette because the spare wheels in a race are all 16 up
