I wouldn't say there is such a big difference between Shimano and Campag wheels, and if anything the Shimanos are ahead. Both overweight, overpriced and not that aero:
Campag's efforts on Aluminium clinchers are a laugh - let's take unaerodynamic proprietary spokes made of aluminium and add them to a pretty heavy mostly-standard hub and rim to build into a 1500-1600g wheelset and charge you £800 for the priviledge. Anyone buying them is nuts as they don't even ride that well. Yes they are robust, but most 1600g wheelsets are.
The only wheelset I rate from both manufacturers was the WR-R500 - there you got a good, basic wheelset with quite good aero properties and stiffness for less than £100. The fact it had hub-end nipple was neither here nor there as it never needed truing.

So do I. Hyperon and Neutron has 2:1 spoke pattern without G3. I have been running these wheels for more than 60 000km and HAVE NEVER EVER touched a spoke and I am not a light guy (85-93kg)
Sorry, back to Shimano! I d like to see the new cranks, they are roumoured to be 4 arm spider like MTB cranks are.

I just said, Shimano chose to go the way Campa does regarding rear wheel construction.
So it just took them 120year ....after Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) . Campa delayed only 100 years
willy waving fight!!!!!
campy sucks...fact
seriously...who gives a sh*t..i like innovation from all sides..regardless of who is copying who
another thought though..ive only just got the current di2 and now there is a new set coming
..just when I thought I was done spending money on group sets...looks like Im gonna be buying more
...before you say it, YES, I need/want/must have them because Im an idiot and love wasting money

Nice, could you show me a photo of the rear hub?
