better brakes pads than Corima for ZeroG's?

So the braking on my Corima pads on Carbon tubulars with my Zero Gravity brakes isn't so hot..........i'm a mt. biker by heart, so every road brake isn't so hot compared to avid juicy 7 discs............

Is there a brake pad that will work better on my carbon rims?

i'm running Lew Sydney wheels if that matters

try the yellow swissstop pads..... i don't notice a difference to alloy rims.

I don't have 0G brakes yet, but have used Corima pads in Campy calipers with Corima Winium rims. The braking was smooth but spongy and lacked grab in my opinion. On the recommendation of Casran here I installed Campy carbon pads for Hyperon. They have shown to be a great improvement. The braking performance in the dry is close to aluminum rims now.

Great to hear that divve! Campy carbon brake pads (the have a grey colour) work excellent on Campy rims (thus Corima rims as well), at least under dry circumstances.

the std zero g pads work great....the corima pads wear down too quickly for everyday use-i would use them for only race days....

The orange Corima pads that come with ZG brakes will (apparently) work on both Alloy and carbon rims...! I tried them on alloy rims and found them to be somewhat lacking in bite. The UK importer of ZG supplied me with Koolstop Campag 2000 pads (black) and they work just fine.

Standard 0g 2005 come with black koolstop pads with a harder compound than the ones sold in store (but not as hard as the ones that came with 0g 2004).

Best racing performance on alu rims so far: swisstop green (these wear the rims out quite fast).

Best racing performance on carbon rims: Kool stop carbon and the swisstop carbon pads.

Best training performance all depending on weather:
normal temp dry: koolstop black/swisstop black
mixed dry wet and normal temp: koolstop mixed black/salmon.
extreme cold/wet: koolstop salmon.

so my 2005 Og-05's came with some sort of kool stop black pad also, how can i tell is those are meant for carbon rims or non-carbon rims?

i'd hate to kill my carbon rims with some non-carbon compatible pads

I thought if you used non carbon pads on a carbon rim it just wore the pad out REALLY fast, especially in the wet.
Is this true?

I have also smelt them in the bunch, mmmmm, burning rubber....

Lightweight pads are made by SwissStop, but they aren't the Yellow King.

ZG's crew said the black pads comes with ZG-05Ti brakes are made by Girs in france, not koolstop...
