forgivenick wrote:I currently use a slr xp but have been considering the aliante since I like the flex of the slr, but my sit bones get a little tender on the longest rides. I measured 145mm wide sit bones in the shop and hear the aliante can be more comfortable for riders with wider sit bones. Anyone try both and have an opinion?

Anyone ridden long distances on these two saddles and find one preferable to the other?
Thanks!

By the end of the week, a Fi'zi:k Antares 00 should find itself crested on my Fi'zi:k Carbon Cyrano Post:

Right now I'm running a Selle San Marco Aspide, Arrowhead.

Next, I'll be getting an all carbon version of it.

Very similar to the large photo on page 1.

I am currently using the Bontrager Team Issue Saddle. It is very comfortable for long rides too.

I just put a Cobb V-flow Max on last night.

I did an hour on the turbo last night and I think it's the first time in years that I haven't thought about the saddle.

In my bucket-o-saddles I have a Spesh Romin Pro (too hard, edges too severe), Selle Italia SLK (meh), SMP Evolution (saddle sores along cutout edges), Adamo road (rails bend, too wide at the nose), Scratch Pro Ti 1.4 143 (gives me numbnuts, so I end up sitting askew and fidgeting).

It may not look 'Euro Pro', but a happy a55 is the main thing!

I'm liking the Selle San Marco Aspide best so far. The groove in the middle and rear spoiler seem to fit my anatomy.

SLR w/ padding ripped off on my training/commuting/travel bike, SLR with padding intact on my Fuji SL/1 usually, Becker/Tune on the Fuji SL/1 during hillclimbs.

On comfort scale, each requires the saddle tilt be dialed in. The SLR with padding is a bit better than the one with the padding stripped. The Becker/Tune is quite comfortable, but it's fragile and expensive so I like to protect it.

Add another Specialized Romin Pro to the list. I tried a fair number before finding that one just worked for me.

What would also be helpful is weekly mileage?

Sella SLR XP Ti. 50 miles weekly as of late but during summer, 100 to 130.
