Wonderful!
Definitely looking forward to your weight reductions on this.
Take a search through this forum (Introduce Yourself/Gallery) and you'll find a few Scott Scale 29er's that have been tuned down to a nice weight, they may serve as inspiration/advice.

a little upgrade..
new grips ergon Gx1 (thx to this tread, i wanted to try them out viewtopic.php?f=10&t=87449&hilit=rocky&start=0 )
and then i swaped the X0 triple crankset out for a XX 39-26... A triple crankset has no place on a 29'er

You could probably shed close to 174g actually! Look into Mt. Zoom or Mortop handlebars.

Yeah its heavy. Looking for a 700mm flabar enve would be nice but the money is only going to reach to a truvativd. But still a lot lighter than the stock

What about an easton ec70 wide? Something like 700mm, 125g claimed and not crazy money?
Nice bike, how do you find the AC wheels? Keep hearing mixed reviews but must admit I'm sorely tempted by them!

Scott Lock-on - 118g!!
Foam grips - 20g (I got some on sale for $3).
wow, thats what hav been holding me back in the races
I have been looking at some esi grips, not as light as 20g but they sound good and still under halfe the weight of the scott grips.
QRs are also on the future list of things that need to go
