the bike is at the rocky mountain local factory for a paint shot. They will brush it with scotch bright, shot it with a black coat and then finish it off with a gloss clear coat.

In the meantime, a few parts that are waiting to get built up!

Do it! Or maybe we play guess the final weight while we wait for your frame to come back!
Great work on the sanding. Did you consider any decals while it's being clear coated? black silhouette decals would look cool IMHO

FRAME IS BACK!!! STILL HOT!

picked up my frame this morning, a nice jet black paint job, I couldnt have done better myself, it was professionally painted so I didnt have to mess arround with that sort of job. It has 2 thin layer of black paint and a clear coat. I now need to wait 2 days for the paint to completely harden up. I wont start building it yet because I dont want anything to happen and scratch it.

The frame now weights 1308g, so its a 56g lost for the whole process.

I have started my build up.

The ENVE bars weighted in at 175g for 700mm wide. I am not a big guy, I dont know yet if I will cut them down to 680mm. I am 177cm tall and weight 150-155lbs. I dont have wide shoulders but not tiny shoulders either.

Everything looks good, except the top cap, wich wont tighten straight, could the starnut be installed not straight???

Figure which side is higher and take a screw driver and hammer and tap it so the starnut straight.
