Beautiful. What spacers are you using? I need to get some. I've seen the "ribbed" ones on ebay, seems logically lighter. I've also seen the hollowed out alloy ones.

Thanks Jure it's totally excellent the black decals will look nice too thanks for sorting them out. :thumbup:

Went for a little hill run this morning.. It's a better shape than my stripped SLR
It's a little stiffer but has better damping and a better platform to sit on..

So far it's super comfortable :mrgreen:

Everything, and I mean everything, on this bike is so well thought out. I F'ing admire this kind of attention to detail. You deserve a cold one, my friend. :beerchug:

BTW, if you Google backhanded compliments, you will see "that guy's" picture pop up on top. Stop feeding him. You guys don't even play in the same league. Not even close.

Its ok he's acutally an ok kid. Just spent way to much time out on the trails alone...

The only upgrade I'm looking to do is get a set of DLC cables from Fairwheel when they become available. The ilink cables are nothing spectacular.. The DLCs wont be so prone to stretching and won't gum the liners as the coating flakes off.. In fact the coat should never flake off 8)

Ohh and I'm getting some vinyl cut decals made.. I think they will haddle the solvent abuse assosiated with using tubbies better and totally look cleaner.

the ribbed ebay spacers are best bang per gram...

i have a german version of the same things i got a few years ago before they were copied by the asians...

mine weren't very cheap, get some of the Taiwanese ones, very light and totally functional

i've been told by a couple of friends i need to anodise the rear mech hanger black...

problem is then i can't ride it...

What a stunning bike. Absolutely amazing build, incredible attention to detail and I can't think of anything I'd change on it. Possibly I'd prefer it in a matte finish, but that is being hyper-picky!

I'm currently tossing up between a Parlee Z5 SL or a Madone 5-series - possibly a strange choice but one is at my original budget (the Madone) while the other is a seriously big chunk of cash! But the Parlee's at Bespoke in London have I think won me over, and this bike is hammering the point home.

There is absolutly no comparison between Parlee and any Trek ever built. The quality of the Parlee is ten fold better the Trek. Im not just talking anout quality of carbon but also manufacturing process, Not to forget the stiffness and ride quality that the Parlee provides is astonishing. Just do your self a favor and hold out a bit for the Quality bike, well worth the wait and weight.

I hear you buddy. I know there's no real comparison. If the pockets were deeper I'd be building something very like sugarkane's, but they ain't! Wallet says Trek, but lack of willpower tells me there'll be a Parlee in my (near) future....!
