Hello Weight Weenies!!
I´m building my first real road bike (I built a few for commuting already). I include my initial specs sheet. Parts in red are ordered already, parts in green are gonna be ordered soon. Sources for this last parts are ebay and bike-discount.de The base is a Hongfu chinese frame, with bsa bottom bracket and 3k matte finish, size 55 (I´m 1.8m tall, 84cm inside legs distance, 75cm bb-top of saddle).
Any feedback would be appreciated, also if you have any of the parts in red let me know. I think overall is ok. Perhaps some components are compromising a little bit, like tires an tubes, or maybe spokes but... we'll see. I will post weights and pics of the parts as they arrive.
Thanks.

Sounds like a good start!
BUT: ( )
1.) I fear that the wheels will ne heavier than claimed.
2.) The tires will be DEFINITELY above 350g
3.) I'm skeptical of the 105 coming in under 2500g.

Get a bicycle. You will certainly not regret it, if you live.

I´m afraid I have to agree with you. These weights are from catalog most of them. Although 105 was weighed by an online mag with pics on scale, but, I also won't believe it until I see it. Still, weights shouldn't be too far, most I have seen them on scale, and tires are 165g each from catalog... I´ll close my fingers. Built must be 7,3Kg I think.
Happy trails !!!!!
The rimstrips will be a bit heavier than you are planning for too....but they do come for free with the tubes soooooooo.........
Updated: Racing again! Thought this was unlikely! Eventually, I may even have a decent race!
