New Wheels opinion - ENVE or Lightweight

2012 is here and i was thinking in a new pair of wheels:

Lightweight Standart 3 Black Edition 20/24 - 36T ratchet DTswiss tubular - 1130g


or

ENVE 3.4 smart + Alchemy Hubs + DT swis aerolite spokes - 1270g

i'm corrently riding Enve 1.45 + pillar aero + carbon-ti Hubs - 1099g, that i really like, and thinking of selling just to fund one these options, if i can, i will try to keep them.

i would like some in sites of people who have used both, to know how they ride.

This is WW, so the Lightweights all day (plus I hear they are pretty good wheels ). Plus I think they would look amazing on your Moots.

Yes, this may be WW, but let's have a reality check for a second.
You should really consider what your riding environment is and factor in what is important for you.
While a lower depth that the LWs, the ENVEs offer a more aerodynamic rim shape, which is apparently acceptionally helpful in sidewinds, etc.
The ENVEs also come with Alchemy hubs which are far superior to DT's.
I cannot speak for stiffness between the two wheelsets.

regarding the the aerodynamic rim shape, i expect that Enve Rims do offer a better ride, but regarding the the stiffness of the wheels, i expect LWs to be far better than Enve even with the Alchemy hubs that are among the stiffess hubs avaivable.

as far as DTswiss hubs, can be easily replaced by regardind the freewheel Shimano or campy.

as far as parts, should easily get bearings, ratchet's - service, for LWs, no custom tools needed.

the other thing that i'm consedering is the price - LWS i can get below 2600€ (Qrs, Bags, rim pads) and the Enve ones cost 2800€, no bags, Qrs or pads.

as far as the weight LWs weight 150g less.

If it was me, I'd want your current wheels, perhaps with stainless spokes instead of Ti, for stiffness.

They are the stainless spokes, no the ti ones that are like noodles

Lightweights.

I like the ENVE 3.4 or 5.6 new shape & aero claims, but the weights are kinda 'meh' .
Lightweights always look gorgeous, too.

Enve's of course. They must be more aero and look good. LWs are kind of ugly.

Neither - LWs are overpriced and hard to repair, and ENVE's are not stiff, oh and overpriced (in Europe).

Lightweight clinchers were test-winners in the latest tour-magazine due to their lowest weight, stiffness and best "feel" when riding. Enve`s weren`t included but the whole zipp line was. IMO Lightweights are a step above in terms of construction and they`re quite timeless as well - must be good for re-sale value?

Have there been any stiffness tests done on the Enve 3.4 wheels? I was in the process of finalizing the purchase of a new wheel set until all these observations of floppy wheels came to light. This will not stand man!

I currently have a set of Reynolds MV32 tubular rims built with DT190 hubs, and they have been fantastic as they are entering into their 5th year of service.

Kind of had the urge to go for deeper aero wheels, but the level of fitness bumped upward a bit and I'm not so sure a few watts matters. Funny how that works.
