It's the angle. I'll get more level shots. There is quite a drop from saddle to the bars. I do ride with the shifters a little higher than some, but it's comfy for me and feels better when I'm out of the saddle.
I like it, with tan sidewalls especially!

A question about the two wheelsets: Although both are great, did you consider a wider profile / more aerodynamic wheelset instead of the Enve 45s, for example Enve 6.7s, Zipps or HEDs, to be used in conjunction w/ the lightweight climbing Enve 25s? Just curious about your choice of the pair...

I thought about the Enve. I just ended up going with the standard 45s. It would probably make more sense to get that fatter wheel, but I don't Time trial and most of my rides are thru hilly areas where I'm not breaking 10mph, so I just wanted light.

Nice work Gum, really worth the wait. I think it looks really attractive, even though I'm usually not a fan of matte black - you really pulled it off. Like everyone else I agree the veloflex tyres look ace and I prefer the shallow rimmed wheels.
I really like sloping top tubes / compact geometries too, but I think they look way better with a short head tube. But you can't help being taller.

Do you mean Enve 25? There were Edge 24s for a while before Edge 25s replaced them. Perhaps 24 got imbedded into your brain. Or did you really score some Edge 24s?gumgardner wrote:Build list: ....

Sorry...yes they are the ENVE 25's.
As for the valve extenders, they are the ones that shipped with the ENVE'S. The standard Veloflex ones were a little short and I didn't feel like fighting with the to get a pump on. I could go shorter, but these were free so I out them on.
