Just a question about CF saddles....

I assume they scuff after a while? What do you do to minimise this or to "repair" that?

Got my seat today. Looks really well made, graphics are nice looking too. Weighed in at 68g on my scale and the carbon cradle weight in at 8g. Now my seatpost/seat combo total weight is 208g. 30g lighter than just my old seat!

I just popped it on my indoor trainer bike to get a feel it. I haven't actually done a workout on it yet but it was very comfortable for the 5min I pedaled in jeans. But yes it is very stiff compared to a standard saddle.

How long did it take for you guys to get the products after payment?

It has now been 5 weeks since I paid via PayPal and haven't heard anything from him since. He told me that it will take 2-3 weeks to make and send the products. I have contacted him via email about my order progress without getting any answer. I guess the email went to his spam box again. It took several weeks to get an answer in the first place when I wanted to place the order because of this.

So now my concern is will I ever get my products? It's frustrating because you can't contact this guy in any way. I now have 10 days left before I have to make an complaint via PayPal in order to even see my money again...

It's been exactly 9 weeks after my payment and I haven't heard from him for the last 4 weeks so I am just hoping he is really busy...

I'm having the same long wait w/ a frustrating lack of communication; however, this was not unexpected given the other posts on Smud in this forum. I ordered/paid for a saddle and cradle on April 5th. Based on my experience, it seems Piotr responds to emails every 2-3 weeks. Two weeks ago he responded to my query on the order saying he had had a computer failure which caused him to loose my order. He promised to make the saddle right away and send it last week. I'm still waiting. Hope springs eternal, I guess, as every report I've read on the actual product, when it finally arrives, has been glowing...

I got an answer from him. He had some computer problems and many orders are delayed. He is working on my saddle now though. So everything seems to be ok now, just can't wait to get it!
