We tried the first generation that only worked on Tune hubs and was satisfied with the amount of clamping.
They weight next to nothing and are really nice.
If I was building a WW bike with top parts these would go but for my everyday ride I use the regular DC14.

I don't really know much about this topic, but I was given some Zipp skewers by a friend who stopped riding. They are pretty light - noticeably more-so than my fulcrums.

Just to add some info for those that don't know the Tune U20....they are based ont he DC skewer design launched last year by Tune to replace the AC design.
The DC feature minimalist design with carbon levers and are very nicely finsihed. The road version had alloy axles and the MTB a front Ti axle.
The U20 takes this design and adds front and rear carbon axles droping the weight in the 20 gram region for the set.

The Tune Skyline TT skewer comes in at 18g set and costs about half of what the U20 does. It isn't lever actuated though.

I know only bikes are weighed around here but having to carry a special tool around with you while you ride seems to defeat the purpose

If they actually work....man that is incredibly light at 21gm for the set.
I have been using the comparative lead-weight Token TK233 ones http://www.wiggle.co.uk/token-tk233-roa ... ewer-pair/ , they have been good but it's tight tolerances meaning the axils are as short as they really can be....not much poking out of the lock nut at all!

It's not how much you spend on a bike it's how hard you can ride it.
I'm waiting for a pair. Should come in february. Will be interesting as I only used the light Carbon-Ti, KCNC and some pairs of Aerozine QR before if we think light.

Planet X carbon handled with Titanium skewer 21g front, rear 23g and £15 (about $20), look good, work fine

Prefer them to my KCNC's which are the same weight but 3 times the price

How much is the total weight with the skewers and the lever included?

There are lighter skewers, but I went with the KCNC Ti Skewers at about 44g.
I've only had one issue with them where they came loose once (both ends),
but I was happy to learn that the cause was user error. I tightened them
while the bike was on my stand and the wheels weren't seated properly.
They are so light that they seem fragile to me and I'm afraid to overtighten which would result in my stripping the threads.
One thing I miss about the Mavic OEM 128g skewers is that they had a solid feeling.
I'd just set them in and tighten them and never gave it another thought.
I believe that they are the same generic type that can be purchase for half of the $60. I paid for them.
They are all the same exact skewers that just get re-branded and sold under different names
(like the Planet-X Ultralight CNC/Token/Circus Monkey/etc... brakeset).
I have to be honest though, I'm thinking about switching to Zipps.
I just trust the brand much, much more and there would only be an 11-13g penalty.
They also look more substantial (stronger?).
KCNC Ti 42-44g
Zipp 55g
