I'm thinking about changing my six13 frame for a CAAD 10 - I'd really like the thoughts and opinions of the Dale fans -

My six13 has the carbon tob tube and carbon down tube -

Do not change frames!
Your six13 is one of the nicest frames in my opinion!

Maybe you can upgrade the fork, stem and seatpost to something more lightweight

I agree with Timm great frames. I have two, same clear finish, still have to have a stare once I clean them up, and will never get rid of them. I would leave the +fork, sub 400 grams and a really nice fork. Maybe light tubies and an Alien seatpost and you'll likely be sub 15 lbs.

Very nice. Despite a black SI Hollowgram would possibly look even nicer. :wink:
Get a bicycle. You will certainly not regret it, if you live.

@luckypuncheur
Thanks.
New arms are out of the question, but I've been thinking of getting these anodized.

@PowerfulPete
Thanks for the welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight. I could probably lose those 40g for free by just cutting the seatpost.

Just had my Caad9 on the scales at my LBS with a new mod in place and I can almost claim the "legalize my cannondale" status. She is now weighing in at 6880 grams with tubs 8)

Will post pics of the new mod tomorrow, untill then I'll keep you guys guessing :lol:

As I've said yesterday, here is my Caad 9 with a new mod, a 2009 Slice himod fork.

I want to incorporate some black into the fork. I wanted to have it sanded down in some area's but I was advised against that by my painter. He told me he would sand it entirely and respray everything. I thought it was kind of tedious as I do like the current paint. So we came to a consensus and that was using car wrapping foil. Currently I'm pondering on a nice design, these are what I came up with so far:

If anyone out there has mad Photoshop skills and has a brilliant design, I'm definetly interested in what you can come up with!

I`d say you cant go wrong with full red like the rest of the frame.

nah, not out of the box enough for me :)
I'd rather have it full black, bare carbon look than. At least I get some weight savings that way. I'm unsure what's under the paint however, probably UD carbon.

anyways I think this is what I'm gonna go with.

Looks pretty badass if you ask me. If I don't like it down the road, It's quick and easy peeling of the wrap.
