Sorry, I am dissapointed :?
Would look much better in size 56.... man this frame is too small for you. In my opinion.

Just out of the workstand, some spacer already removed.
Plus small is less weight.....I thought this was weightweenies?!

Final weight without pedals is 7.04kg. 3T seatpost will drop it under seven, which I was aiming for.

Will update with new photos soon. Not washed it after a test ride.

Really pleased with the finished wheels. The grey finish of the rims looks great next to the grey of the frame.

Dont get me wrong, its a really nice bike!
You are right about WW, its all about weight! I tend more to the looks than the weight ;)

Maybe the angle, at which this photo was taken, also makes it look too small.
BTW, how tall are you?

And I have to write this again - I will never like arione sadlle!!! :D

Had a CAAD 9 with chorus 11 speed myself. Though your wheels are trick! You running record hubs?

As for smaller frame equals less weight.

In modern day frame building that is not the case. To get the smaller frame to fit you have to run more spacers on your fork, a longer stem, a longer seat post - the weight of these three things, in their longer sizes, are not equal to the weight increase in the frame. A stem and a seatpost are two of the heavier items on a bike - certainly more heavy than a frame.

Still, you got a killer bike.

Few observations:

One spacer removed since last post. Will be low as can go when I loose the winter belly!

Hollowgram crank bolts changed from silver to black.

Pedals are temporary. Been offered a green titanium pair for good money. Any thoughts on whether they would wreck the black/white look.

Very pleased with the white accents. Think the cables look especially good. Although need some advice on how to keep the hoods clean!
Also on the wear front, anyone have any idea how long Ambrosio rims keep the surface finish. Think they are starting to go already after one wet ride!

Now the most important part, the ride. Incredible. Not as rough as i expected. Wheels run very well. Had a Cervelo S2 before this and the stiffness in the cranks and rear is massive.
Cervelo felt like a full sus out of the saddle compared to this!

Final weights:

Total: 7040g without pedals
Wheels: 1420g without skewers

Still aiming for sub- 7000g!

That's a nice bike. CAAD10 with Chorus is always a good combination ;-)
You should be easily able to get it below 7 kg. Mine http://velospace.org/node/33424 (56 frame) is exactly 7.0kg with the 300g heavy Cannondale C2 bar.
Have fun with your beauty!

Really nice wheels! The frame does indeed look a little bit to small for you.

Does the braking improve when it wears?

i will never like the arione saddle either. you can save a lot of weight by changing that out too. i bought a used, beat up selle italia carbonia for cheap and modified to 103 grams. if i could get the glue off the bottom i could probably get it under a hunnit.

nice bike, btw.
