Not everyone is built to handle straight extensions and they are definitely not the bar to use for long events. If you look at the top 15 bikes from the Ironman on Slowtwtich most have s bends. It would definitely cause me some wrist issues.

I made the comment assuming he is able to use straight extensions, because on the Scott Plasma of his, he has that type of aerobar extension.
