Scott Addict R1...Project Diablo

Finally finished this and figured I'd post it up...most of the components were originally on another frame (Moots) except for fork/cranks/post/saddle. Moved everything over to an R1 so I could put the Moots back to an everyday ride. The goal of the build was just something fun, lightweight and intended for local climbing repeats...usually the nearby Mt. Diablo. Only thing left to do is trim the steerer at some point after a few more rides.

Sure...I'll dig out the list. Nah, I don't miss it...it was just for fun and to try. I could easily add a front der/ring/shifter and not much weight but the concept came to me when doing repeats. I usually only use a few gears and then really don't hump it on the descents. And in my neighborhood there's a lot of short+steep rollers so I don't need it for local intervals. I might add the gearing someday but for now it was just fun to build a climbing 1x10...it's a 33t, 11-27 btw.

Impressive, but a road bike without a big chainring is not a road bike IMHO.

I can see that...it's pretty much just for climbing repeats tho so I don't really need the extra gearing. If I like the way it rides I might put on another ring/front der/shifter but for now it's fun. Fortunately I have other bikes.
Do you have hill climb races over there? We have 2 months of weekly races in England from end of season to early winter. Loads of guys build bikes like this, though yours would be the nicest!
Great build, I love a one job bike!
