This is my winter ride for the 6th year now. Hilset custom titanium frame, Pace fork, xtr cranks , v-brakes and rear der. LX shifters and a mix of 1992 xtr wheels , dt swiss spokes and mavic ceramic rims. Tune speedneedle and here seen fitted with lumicycle Led3 to illuminate my way.
Weighs around 20 pounds

I'm thinking of getting me a Seven Mudhoney because I feel the 26" wheels on this one slow me down too much on the road.

yes, I finished early! ;-)

Both have changed a bit, mtb has ditched the DT-Swiss for a carbon On-One fork and got some knobbier tyres; ProRace has gotten a smaller (39x17) gear.

The Beateur.

First road bike I bought with my own money several years ago, when a discount warehouse had them on sale for like €700. No name alu frame, Ultegra triple (105 RD after I broke the Ultegra) with 11-23 cluster, ITM cockpit and seatpost, Selle Italia Filante saddle, Shimano R500 wheels with Conti 4 Season 28mm tyres.

A real porker, just shy of 10kg (58cm seat tube), but it's got oh so many fond memories on it.

Plans for a new beater/cx/utility bike are forthcoming, I'm planning to reuse this frame to build a budget TT rig. With the short top- and headtube that should work out fairly ok.

LOL - but I'm wearing greens!

My summer bike is a Canyon Ultimate SLX which is in the Canyon Love Thread ... and for winter I have two bikes ... the Look for dry winter days, and a Giant TCR Advanced for wetter stuff.

If I were you I would use the Canyon in the wet and the Look in the dry  . Love your Vittoria Pave's by the way.

Thanks SWijland :beerchug: The Look frameset and most of the running gear is now 5 years old but still rides as good as new. I maintain them pretty religously, and it rarely sees rain. The Canyon is a bit stiffer in the BB and particularly in the front end, so much as my heart - and lots of memories - are with the Look, I'd take the Canyon for the real huffing and puffing in summer! :)

Nobody is going to lose sight of those 290TPI CGs on a murky Kent lane...

Awesome rig!
